Who Will Win the 2014 NBA Finals
The last two years we have seen the Miami Heat win the NBA Finals. Last year they defeated the Spurs in 7 games. In 2012 they defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in five games. There are so many teams who made some great moves during this offseason. Golden State Warriors made a great move by adding wingman Andre Iguodala. Iguodala can defend and is very athletic. Cleveland Cavaliers made some great additions during the offseason. Cavs added point guard Jarret Jack, forward Earl Clark and center Andrew Bynum. If Bynum can stay healthy most of the season and same thing with point guard Kyrie Irving the Cavs could be an exciting team to watch out for. Detroit Pistons made some good moves in the offseason as well. The Pistons signed Josh Smith to a 4 year deal. Detroit also brought back amazing point guard leader Chauncey Billups. Detroit I feel could make the playoffs this season. In spite of all of these offseason moves there is one team who I feel will win the NBA Finals in 2014. I believe that the Heat will 3 peat. Lebron James is very dominant and want to win a third ring in a row. Dwyane Wade still plays great in spite of his injuries. Chris Bosh still plays good. You have Ray Allen who to me was the savior of the NBA Finals in game 6 against the Spurs. Shane Battier can defend and hit three's. I think Miami Heat want to be back in the Finals again and want to win again. So who do you think will win the 2014 NBA Finals? That is what I want to know. Send me your answers here or on the poll I'm going to have on the side in this blog. Thank you for reading Prohoops world.

Prohoopsworld Eastern Conference Playoff Predictions
The NBA has had some amazing things going on during the offseason. While not every free agent signing is done this is at the current time my Eastern Conference Playoff Predictions. 1) Miami Heat- I think Lebron, Wade and Bosh will play again with such high intensity again this season. Next year could possibly be the last year all three play together on a team. Will all of them resign deals in 2014? Who knows but as of this season they to me are a one seed in the East. 2) Brooklyn Nets- You could argue that the Bulls or the Pacers could go here as well. I feel that getting Pierce, Garnett and Terry was genius for the Nets. The Nets also just signed Andrei Kirilenko to a deal. The Nets are very deep with having Brook Lopez, KG, Pierce, Joe Johnson, Deron Williams, Andrae Blatche, Reggie Evans, Andrei Kirilenko, Jason Terry and Shaun Livingston. Huge splash for the Nets have me putting them second above the Pacers and the Bulls. 3) Indiana Pacers- I was torn between the Bulls and Pacers here. I have no idea how Derrick Rose is going to be which lead me to think the Pacers could go be third. If D-Rose is healthy for the Bulls you could say the Bulls could be third instead of the Pacers. I love the resigning David West and signing Chris Copeland from the Knicks. 4) Chicago Bulls- Will Jimmy Butler continue to play with such athleticism? Derrick Rose will be back this year but will he play the same is the question? If Rose is very healthy you could say the Bulls might even be a 2 seed or 3 instead of the Nets and Pacers. Joakim Noah plays with such intensity and I love his passion for the game. 5) New York Knicks- They fall this season because Jason Kidd retires, Marcus Camby and Steve Novak being traded to Toronto. Andrea Bargnani will come in and play. I'm hoping that Bargnani will not be starting and will come in off the bench for Tyson Chandler or Amare. If Bargnani is starting then I feel the Knicks are in trouble defensively. The 1st pick from the Toronto Raptors needs to step up his defensive game of the Knicks are in some seriously trouble on defense. They brought back J.R. Smith which I feel was a great move. I say if you could package Bargnani and Amare and bring in a better power forward then the Knicks could be in better shape. 6) Washington Wizards- The Wizards drafted Otto Porter Jr which I feel could be smart. Point Guard position has been a problem for the Wizards when John Wall would be out. This season though I feel that the Washington Wizards signing Eric Maynor was a great pickup. Six through 8 seed for the East was very tough for me to decide on but if Wizards Wall stay healthy, Beal develops more and the 2013 third pick Otto Porter can play well the Wizards could be exciting to watch this season. 7) Detroit Pistons- Signing Josh Smith I think was interesting this offseason. Smith can play the small forward or power forward position. Smith gives you more options and could help the Pistons. Bringing back Chauncey Billups was genius in my eyes. Billups provides leadship to this Pistons locker room. Will Billups start or come in off the bench? Either way Billups is back and could get this team to the playoffs again. 8) Atlanta Hawks- I love the signing of Paul Millsap here. I was wondering why they didn't try to pursue Al Jefferson before the Bobcats did. Horford and Millsap in the post would be interesting to see how that plays out. 9) Close but no cigar teams - Only two here are the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics. Thank you for reading Prohoopsworld. I encourage you to send me your comments, questions, things you'd love to see on the blog, agree or disagree with me.
